I’ve been transitioning for almost 10 months now. It’s been a learning experience to say the least. I’ve not only learned about the texture of my hair, the variation of curls, but my most challenging, yet rewarding, experience is accepting my hair for what it is. I’m embracing my natural beauty and finding different ways to become more intact with my native African roots. My vacation has started, and I’ve decided to try something new, to avoid reverting back to relaxers, and to further make my next few months smoother. I’m excited to see what exciting styles I can come up with.
